VOLUNTEERING

Volunteering is a great way to see a different side to a festival and experience the excitement of the festival season. It gives you the opportunity to meet new like-minded people, have a great time and gain valuable experience for other major music festivals around the world.

Volunteers will play a big part in creating the energetic atmosphere at Zooquarium by helping the festival goers get the most out of our festival, and stage management teams function smoothly.

What you get when you volunteer:

  • A free ticket to enjoy the festival before or after your shift
  • Time to see great bands
  • Training

Volunteers have to be 18 or over on the day of the festival, and need to be available for the entire 6.5-hour shift. If you are energetic, enthusiastic, dynamic and up for some fun, these are the exciting volunteer opportunities up for grabs:

  • Event Stewarding
  • Ticketing
  • Be the main point of contact for one of our Zooquarium-themed stages:
    • Sunset Stage – Main Stage
    • The Grazing Ground – Market Place
    • Lounge Lizard Stage – Studio Theatre
    • Journey to the Deep Stage – Second stage
    • The Rat Hole – Green room
  • Or perhaps you have an idea of something you would like to contribute to the festival…

If you’re interested in getting involved in Zooquarium, email yaz.norris@hpcharity.co.uk to find out more information.

WORK EXPERIENCE

We are looking for enthusiastic people who would like to be part of the festival team in the week prior the event from the 10th – 15th July, to assist with all elements of the production. This could include helping look after the bands, promoting the event leafleting, creating last minute signage, festival admin and helping the technical team. There will be something for everybody to get involved in.

Email yaz.norris@hpcharity.co.uk for more details.

WORK PLACEMENTS

A work placement is a fantastic way to learn ‘behind the scenes’ skills of a creative music festival. It’s also a great way to be more involved in experiencing and organising a festival.

By joining our team through a work placement you’ll meet and work with other like-minded people, gain in-depth festival training, experience and contacts and have a fantastic time that you’ll never forget!

Each placement role is different in interest and skills so have a look through the opportunities and see what takes your fancy. Email yaz.norris@hpcharity.co.uk for an application form to apply.

What you get when you do a work placement:

  • A free ticket
  • Time to see great bands
  • Training in your role

Placements need to be available for all of the shifts and training sessions on the lead up to and during the festival day.
